Workshop with Isabelle Ha Eav Ruiz & Stéphane Noel

Isabelle Ha Eav Ruiz (born in 1993) works with the history of photography, exploring the materiality of the image. This is translated by contemporary experiments in dialogue with the use of ancient techniques, mixing the processes of photography and painting.

She trained in engraving and then photography, notably at the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie in Arles.
Her work is exhibited in various international art centers and museums (Kunst Haus Wien Museum, Vienna; Camille Claudel Museum; Siao-Long Cultural Center, Taiwan, etc.)

Stephane Noel (born in 1969) is a Belgian artist renowned for his photographs made with gum bichromate, a multi-layer process dating from the 19th century.

His works are long term projects where he fully assimilates with his subjects over a period of several months, even years, before a single photo is taken.

During many years, he worked on Los Ultimos Carboneros, a tribute to the charcoals burners in Cuba.
His work has been exhibited in differents international museums and cultural centers (Museo de Bellas Artes, Valparaiso; Muzeum Narodowe; Corporacion Cultural de Las Condes, Santiago de Chile.)
