Olga Stefatou: Born in Gaza
October 29, 2026 — November 28, 2026
Opening reception Thursday, October 29, 2026 · 19:00-22:00
An exhibition by Olga Stefatou in collaboration with Yousef Shurrab.
Born in Gaza portrays Yousef, an 18-year-old Palestinian who has experienced profound loss and now faces the difficult challenge of rebuilding his life in Egypt.
Together with Olga Stefatou, his photographer and mentor, Yousef explores the transition from adolescence to adulthood in a reality marked by war and insecurity. Through their collaboration, they seek ways to give form and expression to Yousef’s experiences, to process grief and trauma, preserve his memories, reconnect with life, and begin to envision a future.
A deeply personal story, Born in Gaza is also part of the much broader collective experience of young Palestinians displaced from their homeland.
Alongside the exhibition, a presentation of the book Born in Gaza, published by Four Eyes éditions, will take place on Saturday, 21 November, at 18:00.
Opening: Thursday, 29 October 2026, at 19:00
