Marianthi Efthimiou

Marianthi Efthimiou is a photographer based in Greece. Her ongoing project Land In Between creates a world on the border between literalness and metaphor, where the natural landscape becomes a stage and a place of escape from the real.

In her pictures, characters immerse themselves in a quest to become what they desire and, along the way, seem to change without noticing, taking on new forms. Capturing the familiar while building an uncanny world, she explores change, deception and the state of being caught in between.

Land In Between was presented at House of Lucie Athens, curated by Marianthi Efthimiou and Eleni Mouzakiti.
