Csaba Rosta S.
Dr. Csaba Rosta S. is a Hungarian architect and artist who has travelled extensively in Finland. He leads the Regionális Alternatív Stúdió (RAS), based in Budapest and Győr, and is best known for his iconic buildings and for the RAS gallery ship that once floated on the Rába River.
Beyond architecture, his work includes ships, canoe target towers, music pavilions, a museum made of industrial objects, furniture, electronic sculptures and jewellery. Created at the intersection of fine and applied arts, these visions reflect on the roots of architectural space and form, independent of scale and material.
His exhibition Architextures at House of Lucie Budapest, with the sculptor Zoltán Popovits, mapped more than thirty years of friendship and collaboration that began in 1991.
