Anthony Dawton
Anthony Dawton is an award-winning photographer based in London. He has worked extensively with NGOs including Save the Children, photographing in Niger, Gaza, the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan and the Rohingya camps at Cox's Bazar in Bangladesh.
Often working alongside the Australian photographer Jim McFarlane, he uses his pictures to raise funds as well as awareness: their projects have helped build wells in Niger, and his book Edge of Hope supports the Amal Foundation. Closer to home, his book NOTLondon turns the camera on homelessness in the city where he lives.
10 Days in Gaza, with photographs Dawton and McFarlane made in 2019 for Save the Children, was shown at House of Lucie Ostuni in 2024. Proceeds from the accompanying book support Save the Children and the FQMS Foundation.
