Samui Art Center – A Creative Home for Art and Community
Established in January 2025 alongside House of Lucie Koh Samui, the Samui Art Center is a nonprofit cultural space dedicated to nurturing creativity, supporting artists, and making art accessible to the island’s diverse community. Located in the heart of Koh Samui, the center provides a welcoming environment where local residents, international visitors, emerging talents, and established artists come together to explore, learn, and share their passion for the arts. Through exhibitions, educational programs, and hands-on workshops in painting, sculpture, pottery, printmaking, photography, and traditional art techniques, the center encourages artistic expression across generations and cultures.
Beyond its educational mission, Samui Art Center celebrates the rich artistic heritage of Thailand while creating opportunities for cultural exchange with the wider world. Its programs have included exhibitions such as Spirit of ASEAN, celebrating Southern Thai traditions through contemporary watercolor painting, and workshops introducing participants to intaglio printmaking and other creative practices. Working alongside House of Lucie, the center combines local artistic traditions with international perspectives, offering a platform for artists to share their work and for the community to experience art firsthand. More than an exhibition space, Samui Art Center is a place to create, connect, and discover, contributing to the development of Koh Samui as a growing destination for arts and culture.
