THE HOUSE OF LUCIES is an initiative by the Lucie Foundation that establishes network of community centers, galleries and museums dedicated to bringing photography and visual storytelling to audiences worldwide. Located in areas with limited access to traditional galleries, these spaces make art more inclusive and accessible to the locals.

By showcasing diverse photographic works, the House of Lucies engages communities, inspires creativity, and deepens understanding of visual storytelling, ensuring that photography’s transformative potential reaches a wider audience.

These galleries are a contemporary photography space presenting rotating exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and other events. House of Lucie was established in 2016 by Hossein Farmani as a community spaces to showcase the extraordinary work of The Lucie Awards Honorees, as well as to carry on the passion for discovering, collecting and sharing the work of local and international photographic talent.

I created the network of seven House of Lucie galleries worldwide to share the art of photography that has profoundly fulfilled my life. These spaces aim to bring photography to the masses, teaching people to develop a keen eye and use this craft to tell powerful stories. As a young photographer, I often wished for centers like these—places to learn, grow, and showcase my work.

House of Lucie celebrates the masters of photography while promoting the work of both professional and amateur photographers. By establishing these galleries in areas not oversaturated with art centers, we make photography accessible to more people, fostering creativity and education.

Through these non-profit spaces, which offer free classes and exhibitions, I hope to inspire the next generation of citizen journalists who can provide an honest and diverse perspective, complementing and challenging mainstream media.

I hope you visit a House of Lucie near you or make a plan to explore all seven House of Lucies worldwide.
